About Me

I’m originally from Louisville, Kentucky but I’ve called Los Angeles home for a very long time. I’m a versatile writer who used to work in documentary and feature film but as a new parent at the height of the California drought, I experienced a sense of panic around the existential threat posed by the climate crisis. I’ve since made the switch to solutions-oriented science and environmental journalism which I’m very passionate about.  Politics is inevitably bound up in those issues and as a political junkie, I enjoy covering that side of the issues as well.

I’m also an accomplished photographer and videographer and I enjoy providing photos and media content to accompany my articles when feasible.
